经过为期三个月的紧张准备和激烈角逐，由澳大利亚昆士兰科技大学的国际破产法界著名专家Rosalind Mason教授发起，并由国际破产协会(INSOL International)、国际破产学会(International Insolvency Institute)等机构共同主办的第八届Ian Fletcher国际破产模拟法庭于2022年12月2日圆满落幕。天同律师事务所赞助的中国政法大学代表队在来自近四十个全球知名大学的队伍中脱颖而出，再度杀入决赛圈，并斩获书状亚军，这也是中国政法大学参赛以来取得的历史最佳成绩。

After three months of intense preparation and fierce competition, Ian Fletcher International Insolvency Moot (“The Fletcher Moot”) was successfully concluded on December 2nd, 2022, initiated by Professor Rosalind Mason, the famous expert in the field of international bankruptcy law from Queensland University of Technology in Australia, hosted by the INSOL International, International Insolvency Institute and other institutions. The team from China University of Political Science and Law (“Team CUPL”) sponsored by Tiantong Law Firm (“Tiantong”) stood out among the teams from nearly 40 world-renowned universities and won second place in the memorandum round, which is also the best result in the history of China University of Political Science and Law since entering the competition.

Ian Fletcher国际破产模拟法庭是世界上第一项同时也是目前最具权威性的以破产法为主题的国际学术辩论赛，旨在促进全球知名法学院校之间的互动交流、反映国际破产法发展方向、培养国际化思维方式，并为发现和培养出色的法律人才提供广阔的舞台。中国政法大学代表队从2018年开始参加该比赛，取得了优异的成绩（Ian Fletcher国际破产模拟法庭天同赞助队伍再闯决赛圈｜天同要闻）。

The Fletcher Moot is the first and most authoritative international academic debate competition in the field of bankruptcy law in the world. It aims to promote interactive communication between world-renowned law schools, reflect the development direction of international bankruptcy law, cultivate the international way of thinking, and provide a broad stage for the discovery and training of outstanding legal talents.

在本次起草书状的过程中，指导教练中国政法大学副教授苏洁澈、中国政法大学讲师郭帅、日本同志社大学教授金春和上海政法学院副教授殷慧芬就如何在用有限的时间与篇幅内向法官们呈现出全面与准确的内容、如何准确剖析赛题与队员们深入探讨，反复模拟，同时在法律检索、材料汇总、书状撰写、格式排面等环节提出了具有建设性的意见。队员们同样得到了天同律师事务所合伙人池伟宏、律师冷帅达的大力支持。正是在队员、教练和律师们的不懈努力下，中国政法大学代表队最终提交的书状逻辑严谨、论证充分，最终冲破重重关卡，载誉而归！

In the process of drafting the memorandum, the coaches Su Jieche, associate professor of China University of Political Science and Law, Guo Shuai, lecturer of China University of Political Science and Law, Jin Chun, professor of Doshisha University, and Yin Huifen, associate professor of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, had in-depth discussions and frequent simulation training with the team members on how to present comprehensive and accurate content to the judges in limited time and length, and how to analyze the question accurately. The team members also received substantial support from lawyer Chi Weihong, the partner of Tiantong, and lawyer Leng Shuaida, the lawyer of the Insolvency team, who put forward constructive opinions in legal researching, material summarizing, memorandum drafting, format composing, and other links. It is with the unremitting efforts of the team members, coaches, and lawyers that Team CUPL eventually submitted a memorandum with rigorous logic and sufficient argumentation. Finally, the team broke through heavy barriers and returned with great honor!

The competition has come to an end. In recent years, Tiantong’s bankruptcy business has developed rapidly. In the future, Tiantong will adhere to the values of focus, excellence, openness and innovation, relying on its profound experience in the field of moot court, promote the development of bankruptcy moot court in domestic universities, advocate the concept of bankruptcy law in conformity with the international trends, and strive to make contributions to bankruptcy law education and legislative development. Moot court is one of the three major assets of litigation in Tiantong, it is not only a necessary link of preparation for the trial of difficult cases, but also an important method to select outstanding talents. For the students who are interested in the bankruptcy business, Tiantong is willing to build a capacious platform for the growth of young students. We also wish Team CUPL to courageously march forward and make new achievement.
